The PowderMills is the most romantic and exclusive setting for a truly memorable, dream wedding. The charming Georgian House, dating back to the 18th century, sits within acres of immaculately kept landscaped grounds, near the medieval town of Battle. With elegant dining rooms and a variety of impressive gardens, the beautiful venue is perfect for your special day.
The venue is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in a number of sophisticated and stylish rooms, allowing you to spend your whole day of wedding celebrations in this romantic Georgian House.
The grounds of the PowderMills was once a operating gunpowder mill from late c17 up until 1876 the house (now the hotel) below the mill dam was rebuild after a explosion in 1796, so these ground are oozing in great British history!
We were blown away by the hotel and its grounds nestled within the beautiful Sussex countryside, the hotel even has its own residential sheep grazing around the grounds and George the peacock adding something unique to the scenery, perfect for some fantastic photo opportunity's.
If you are looking for a venue for your big day we recommend looking at this stunning venue, during the warmer months this hotel blooms into life with the surrounding of the woodlands and beautifully flowered gardens.
Bexhill Film Company had the pleasure of filming and photographing Emma and mark’s Wedding at The PowderMills Hotel in Battle this may.
We where most pleased with the photos from Emma's Bridal preparation.
These photos show the importance of having a photographer for the full day and not missing out these important moments, the ones where you can relive those moments of joy and nerves building up to your big day, sometimes those ones that are forgotten about but those important memory's you would want to see once again.
Not forgetting what capturing this part of you day can add to your wedding film its the perfect build up to the walk down the isle, showing the groom what he didn't see making sure you both don't miss out on any moments!
The getting ready shots are just as much about the details as they are the candid moments. You must Relax, enjoy yourself, let the photographers do their own thing and pretend not there. Feel the emotions of the moments and it will be reflected in the final shots.
